January 31 was the official celebration of our one-year anniversary! We were overjoyed by the support we received from so many amazing women. In particular, we were humbled to introduce the evening’s speakers: Top 40 Under 40 event planner Maggie Barton Baird and social media influencer Hiba Hattab. They shared their exciting journeys as leaders, what inspires them, and the advice they would have offered their younger selves if given the chance.

Thank you to everyone who came out that night in support—and who have come out over this past incredible year. When we launched with our first event in 2018—“New Year, Better You”—we were hopeful but unaware of the response we’d get. It started with the realization that women experience the workplace differently and has blossomed into a solid group of highly skilled professionals.

Over the past year, we’ve found that our speakers often resonate with the audience. It’s both a shock and a relief to know how many of us can be quick to doubt ourselves and our abilities. The prevalence of imposter syndrome for women in particular is why we seek to bring exceptional people together. We all have value, and we all have something to share—sometimes we just need to get together to help each other unlock our potential.

We are excited for what this next year will bring, and are looking forward to meeting even more talented people through our networking events, workshops, and celebrations.
