Jasmin Brazil

Jasmine Brazil works with the Social Development Branch of the City of Edmonton. She holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology from Grant MacEwan University and a Masters degree focused on women’s experience in gangs from the University of Alberta. While Jasmine’s parents are from opposite sides of the country (literally Newfoundland and British Columbia), she gratefully calls these Mètis and Treaty 6 homelands in Edmonton, home. Jasmine loves great coffee, using her creative energy in photography, and is always planning for the next stamp in her passport.

She joined the InspireHer volunteer team following participation in the LeadHERship Course because she was looking for an opportunity to do the type of work where “inspired women, inspire women.” She loves to learn from others, and loves being a facilitator in the LeaderHERship course so that she can meet and learn from others and be inspired by their journey’s through defining their leadership values, goals and plans. She lives by the motto, “progress not perfection” so every little step we take towards our goals count.
